The owners of this coastal garden wanted to bring more colour to the space and make better use of the lower part of garden, previously unused wilderness due to very limited access. They also wanted to extend the garden in order that they could make the most of the stunning sea-views.
The existing patio has been extended to complement the surrounding landscape I used large limestone rocks, beach pebbles and architectural planting.
At the far end of the garden I have designed a sunken area with the gazebo sitting into the lower level. This created a beautifully sheltered viewing point, somewhere to sit and enjoy the fantastic sea view. By locating the gazebo at the lower level we were able to ensure that we did not interrupt the sea view from a neighbours garden, an important consideration in this design.
