Cushendall
The clients on this project wanted to create a space that would be an extension of their newly build family home and most of all, to make use of entire garden in which they could enjoy the magnificent views of Glens and Antrim Coast.

The lower part of the main garden has been designed to form a formal sunken terrace. The inspiration behind this part was taken from Italian walled gardens although ‘the wall’ has been replaced with griselina hedge.
The upper terrace with its box and rose parterre has been designed to give a formal frame to the curved glass wall of the house. Low growing box hedge provides structure all year round, while ground-cover roses guarantee abundance of colour during summer months, crucial for this very important part of garden.
The planting plan on this project was prepared to accommodate species suitable to exposed, coastal gardens. Low growing species have been selected for the upper garden to maintain open views.
